Due to a bit of a logistical nightmare, there will now be no Laugharne’s Got Talent on the Friday night. Sorry about that. Sat and Sun will go on as normal (normal?!)

Oops – Train Times

Apologies – up till now – 5pm Weds April 3 – the posted times of the trains – and relevant shuttle buses – to and from Carmarthen on Friday and Sunday have been wrong. I was using an outdated timetable. The timetable has now been changed both on the website and the downloadable PDF. Monday’s train times and the times for the buses between Laugharne , Pendine and St Clears remain unchanged.

Sorry about that.

Volunteers Needed

Mark Thomas

Sad news, I’m afraid. Mark Thomas’s father died yesterday and as result he will not now be appearing on Sunday night. Anyone who heard Mark’s Radio 4 show Bravo Figaro (repeated last night and presumably still available on I-player) will have a keen sense of Mark’s loss.

On a practical note if you booked an individual ticket to see Mark Thomas you can apply for a refund or we’ll gladly exchange it for a ticket for another show of your choice.

John Hegley will now be taking over Mark’s slot and appearing at 8pm in the Millennium Hall (and not 6pm as originally planned).

We are, of course, very sorry about this.

You can print it out or download it to your smartphone. Boathouse Shows On Sale

Tickets for The Boathouse shows with Sir Peter Blake and Phill Jupitus
are now on sale . These are the only events that you CANNOT get into with a weekend ticket. However you can, of course, see both Peter Blake at Phill Jupitus at their main events over the weekend.

Peter Blake will talk to Mark Ellen about his love of Dylan Thomas and
his ongoing project of illustrating every scene from Under Milk Wood.

Phill Jupitus is best known as a stand up comedian and team captain on
“Never Mind The Buzzcocks”. For this show he will revert back to the
role of performance poet Porky The Poet and be supported by John
Osborne.

Line-Up Changes

First the bad news – Jeremy Vine has had to pull out as he’s been called in to present the Andrew Marr show that weekend. Sorry about that.

Now the excellent news – Joe Boyd the justly famed record producer – and latterly memoirist – has been added to the bill. He will be appearing in the Millennium Hall at 7pm on Friday evening, presenting a unique event dedicated to the work of Nick Drake. Expect a fine assortment of musical guests.

As a result of these changes Charlie Higson will now be appearing on Saturday afternoon at 4pm in the Congregational Church, and John Peel’s Shed will be on at the slightly later time of 9pm on Friday.

Weekend tickets for the 2013 edition of the festival are now on sale.
